Passports & Visas

  • Do I need a visa? Click to view details

Visas are required for visits to a number of countries that we go to and may include an extra charge. Details about visas can be found in the Terms & Conditions page on the website or within the General Information pages of every brochure. Please check carefully if you need a visa as we cannot accept responsibility for the cancellation of a holiday due to the non-granting of a visa.

If you are still unsure you complete our Contact Us form or telephone our Holiday Advisors on 0116 217 8005.

  • Do I need a passport? Click to view details

It is essential for British citizens to possess a full ten year passport, valid for at least six months beyond the return date for all holidays abroad. For details on how to obtain a passport log onto www.ukpa.gov.uk or enquire at your nearest Post Office.

  • I am travelling to America and am unsure about which visa or passport I need, can you explain? Click to view details

The United States Immigration Authorities have now dispensed with the necessity to obtain a visa for UK citizens travelling on inclusive tours such as ours. However, if your passport shows that you are a British Subject, British Protected Person, British Overseas Citizen or someone from a British Dependent Territory then you must have a visa. Holders of Irish passports may now participate in the visa waiver programme. All passengers intending to enter the USA on the Visa Waiver Programme will be required to present a machine-readable passport.

From 26 October 2006, the regulations changed again: Any new passports issued after this date will need to contain biometric data, e.g. fingerprints, iris definitions etc.

If you hold a machine-readable passport (issued since 1988 with a red cover) issued before October 26th 2006, it will continue to be valid for entry to the USA on the Visa Waiver Programme until it expires. Passports issued after this date that do not contain biometric data will not be valid for entry to the USA without a visa.

However, the UK Passport Office has indicated that it expects to meet this deadline. As all British passports issued by the UK Passport Office since 1988 are machine-readable you do not need to take any action. If you have any doubts at all that your passport is valid, please speak to one of our Holiday Advisors.

Non-British passport holders should contact the American Embassy for more information

For more information on passports go to www.ukpa.gov.uk.
